Let’s be honest, we’ve all searched far and wide for that one beauty product that will work for us. And luckily, I’ve found one that works. While scrolling through Urban Outfitters , I came across this cute little bottle. It’s from a company called Cedar & Stone, and they’re based in Australia. They use all natural ingredients in their products, like grape seed oil and jojoba, and don’t test on animals-major plus. Another plus- this stuff smells great!
So this serum promises to deliver hydration and elasticity to your face while helping with blemishes. All without clogging your pores. Sounds far-fetched, right? I mean this serum is an oil, so I was automatically thinking it would cause more harm than good to my skin. But after reading several reviews on this product, I decided to give it a try.
I have a pretty even skin tone, not too dry and not too oily. Mariah, on the other hand, has more of an oily complexion. This is important because your skin tone can affect the way this product works for you.
For me, the first thing I noticed the morning after my first use, was that my skin was incredibly soft and hydrated. It took a good week before I started noticing my skin was clearer. After about a month of using it, I noticed that my skin has had fewer breakouts (including hormonal breakouts), and the blemishes I do get are smaller and usually go away faster than before. I usually put 2-3 drops on my skin.
Mariah had a different experience with this product. Because her skin is oily in some places and is very sensitive to new products, she tended to break out more while using the serum. She experiences the softness along with me, but her blemishes got worse. However, it did clear up some of her acne scars. So if you have more of an oily complexion or sensitive skin, I would recommend either not using it, or using this product in small doses (maybe 1-2 drops every other day).
How you chose to use the serum is up to you. I choose to put 3 drops on my hand then rub it in before I sleep. But the Cedar & Stone serum can also be used as a primer during the day. Do some experimenting to see what works best for you. In all, I would rate this product 4 stars. The quality is great and you get a lot of product for your money. However, it is not ideal for every skin type. I experience more positive things with it than bad, so I would recommend this. I will definitely try more Cedar & Stone products soon!
